As the Regional Media Planning & Implementation Lead, you'll shape and manage a team of dynamic media specialists, working with top regional brands. You'll lead a proven, high-performance team and benefit from strong support and development opportunities within GroupM India . You'll also drive thought leadership , contribute to automation and team building , and set benchmarks for efficiency across the board. Responsibilities of the Role Regional Leadership Lead and manage a team of media planners and implementers across the West region. You'll provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment that encourages innovation and knowledge-sharing. Ensure consistent application of best practices and adherence to company standards across all regional campaigns. Act as a point of escalation for complex media planning and implementation challenges, providing expert guidance and solutions. Integrated Media Planning & Implementation Lead the development and execution of integrated media plans across non-biddable channels, including TV, Radio, Print, and Digital, ensuring they align with client objectives and target audiences. Oversee the implementation of media plans , ensuring accurate execution, timely delivery, and strict adherence to budget. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop holistic media planning strategies. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging media opportunities, proactively identifying and presenting innovative solutions to clients. Collaboration with GroupM Client Teams & Media Investment Work closely with GroupM client teams to understand client needs, develop strategic recommendations, and present media plans effectively. Partner with the media investment team to negotiate favorable rates and secure optimal media placements. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between client teams, the media investment team, and other internal stakeholders. Efficiency & Optimization Drive efficiency in media planning and implementation processes by identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining workflows. Develop and implement optimization strategies to improve campaign performance and maximize ROI. Analyze campaign data and provide actionable insights to both clients and internal teams. Implement and oversee the use of media planning tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy. New Business Development & Budget Management Support new business pitches by developing compelling media strategies and presentations that showcase the company's expertise. Contribute to the development of innovative media solutions that differentiate the company from competitors. Oversee the management of media budgets , ensuring accurate tracking and reporting, while identifying opportunities to optimize media spend. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Skills and Experience 15+ years of relevant experience in media planning and implementation, with a strong focus on non-biddable channels. Master's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field. Deep understanding of media planning principles , strategies, and best practices across all non-biddable channels. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights. Exceptional negotiation skills to secure favorable rates and optimal media placements. Familiarity with the media landscape , regulations, and cultural nuances of the region. Experience using media planning software , ad serving platforms, and analytics tools. Eagerness to embrace new technologies and automation tools to improve efficiency. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders.

Understand the category and brand objectives for the year. Adopt the Wavemaker way of working and the brand's specific media requirements and planning processes. Initiate and deliver at least two strategic projects in integrated planning. Successfully lead media discussions with the client. Work on media briefs independently and demonstrate a complete understanding of the portfolio . Develop and present a 360-degree media approach . Additional Responsibilities Build and foster client relationships by taking charge of their media needs from strategy to implementation. Provide comprehensive media plans across all mediums, using insights from brief mining and data analysis. Deliver insights-led solutions to brand problems using Provocative Planning and other media tools. Generate innovative ideas and communication approaches to drive breakthroughs across all mediums. Maintain a sharp focus on quality output, consistent performance, professional conduct, a sense of ownership, honesty, and integrity . The Ideal Candidate Experience with integrated online and offline media planning , campaign management, and data analysis is essential. You should have hands-on experience with Media Research Tools like Comscore, GWI, and BARC. You're comfortable working on Google and Facebook platforms and can plan and manage all digital marketing , including trackers, communication, social media, and display advertising campaigns. You have a minimum of 4-5 years of work experience , preferably in media planning and digital marketing. You possess a strong understanding of business, marketing, and consumers and stay abreast of current industry trends . You have strategic innovation and creativity skills , with excellent presentation abilities . You are highly analytical (both qualitatively and quantitatively) and have a strong knowledge of media tools, techniques, and processes . You understand all media channels and can translate complex ideas into actionable strategies. You are a team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills .
